SFLW Team of the Week - Round Four

Round Four of the Southern Football League Women's competition was a lot more one-sided than the previous round - with the closest match being decided by five goals, while two sides went scoreless.

Christies Beach continued their unbeaten run with an inaccurate belting of Aldinga, 8.20 (68) to 0.0.(0). Reynella rejoined the winners list with a strong 7.7 (49) to 2.7 (19) win over Morphett Vale while Flagstaff Hill enjoyed their return from a weekend off with a 10.13 (73) to 0.0 (0) win over Hackham.

Scroll down to see this round's Team of the Week, plus a small breakdown of the squad.

Captain: Paige Kiley

Vice-Captain: Ella Besley

This weekend's biggest winners, Flagstaff Hill, sit with the most players represented in our team of the Week with six. Following closely behind is Christies Beach and Reynella, both with five named players each.

As the this week's leaders, we have selected a player that had a standout weekend as she booted three goals and was named as Christies Beach's Best on Ground during their big win, and that is none other than Paige Kiley. The Vice-Captaincy goes to Reynella's Best on Ground, young Ella Besley.

Joining this week's Vice-Captain in the midfield is Melanie Koster from the Saints, and Flagstaff Hill's Best on Ground, Alana Baker. This week's followers have stayed rather similar to last week, with Morphett Vale's Emma Morrison and Reynella's Sarah Bourn both holding their spots. Rounding out the followers is Shanique West, who also holds her spot in the side following her three goal performance on the weekend.

This week's Captain sits at full-forward, and is joined by fellow Saints' teammates, Hannah Crump and Tamara Page. Also named in our forward line is Katherine Wise who booted three goals for the Falcons on the weekend, as well as Morphett Vale's Best on Ground, Katelyn Wilson - and Aldinga's Jean-Louise Papps.

A duo of Falcons call the halfback line home, in Emily Brockhurst and Carli Morton. Joining them is a Aldinga duo of Jaimi Griffen and Alison Szalanski. Rounding out this week's defence is Reynella's Brina Thompson and Morphett Vale's Hannah Armstrong.

Two more Falcons call our interchange home, with Chloe Meyers and Jenna Andrews both calling it home, alongside a familiar Hackham name in Alana Browne, and Reynella's Kristy Mackenzie. The final three spots in this round's Team of the Week go to Christies Beach's Kate Armstrong, Reynella's Natasha Gordon, and Hackham's Chelsea Deeth.
