SFLW Team of the Week - Round Six

Round Six of the SFLW saw the league leaders make some big statements as the regular season enters its final stretch.

Christies Beach continued their unbeaten run with a 7.5 (47) to 2.4 (16) win over the fourth-placed Cobras, while Soriah Moon made herself known with a five-goal display during the Falcons 115 point win over Aldinga.

The final game of Round Six saw eight of Reynella's players hit the scoreboard as they ran over the top of Hackham to win 14.7 (91) to 0.1 (1).

Scroll down to see this round's Team of the Week, plus a small breakdown of the squad.

Captain: Soriah Moon

Vice-Captain: Casie Coombe

This round's Team of the Week has been dominated by the league leaders, with both Flagstaff Hill's and Reynella's big wins reflected as both sides sit with seven named players. Following close behind is the Saints who have five players represented.

As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, Soriah Moon was on fire during the Falcons big win--with her five goal performance earning her the Falcons Best on Ground, as well as the Captaincy of our team for this week. The Vice-Captaincy goes to the Saints' Best on Ground, Casie Coombe, who booted two goals for the red, white and black.

Our Vice-Captain is a part of our very potent forward line, which is home to a Reynella trio of Rebecca Slegers (two goals), Kristy Jenkinson (two goals) and Madison Short (three goals). Also calling the forward line home is a teammate of Coombe, Kelly Armstrong (two goals), and Flagstaff Hill's Nicole Mogg who booted three goals for the Falcons.

This week's followers is home to our Captain, as well as Melanie Koster from Christies Beach, and Sarah Bourn from Reynella. Across our midfield is a familiar name in Alana Baker from Flagstaff Hill, as well as the Falcon's second Best on Ground, Tamsyn Morriss, and Reynella's Venessa Graham.

A duo of Cobras find themselves in our backline, with both Lara Ward and their Best on Ground, Lauren Grigg, calling it home. Keeping the duo theme, we also have a duo of Sharks with their Best on Ground, Jaimi Griffen, joined by her fellow teammate, Alison Szalanski. Rounding out our defence is Reynella's Best on Ground, Tyler Davies and Paige Simmons from the Saints.

Calling our interchange home is Reynella's Emma Mcmanus, as well as Tallara Power from Christies Beach and Chloe Meyers from Flagstaff Hill. Also calling our interchange home is the sole Hawk in this week's team, their Best on Ground, Nikki Parker.

The final three spots in the Round Six Team of the Week belong to Carli Morton who booted two goals for the Falcons, alongside another Falcon in Jenna Andrews, and Aldinga's Kiara Lovett.
