SFLW Team of the Week - Round Three
Round Three sees the reigning premiers make a huge statement, while the Cobras and Wineflies enjoy strong wins.
Nine unanswered goals during the second half was enough to see Reynella register an 85 point win over Port Noarlunga, 14.9 (93) to 1.2 (8). Rebecca Denyer was at it again, booting seven goals for the Wineflies who, at halftime, only had five goals to their name--a number they would manage to nearly triple during the final half.
A strong opening quarter display by the reigning premiers was enough to keep Christies Beach at arms length for the rest of the match, 3.0 (18) to 8.15 (63). Emily Brockhurst was influential for the Falcons, kicking five goals during a Best on Ground performance.
Alesia Leduff's five goals was enough to see Cove claim a 33 point win over Aldinga, 7.8 (50) to 2.5 (17). By quarter time, Cove had managed to beat their total score from last week; partly thanks to the Cobras fast start during Round Three, and also the fact they only scored a point last week.

Captain: Emily Brockhurst Vice-Captain: Rebecca Denyer
Each side has been represented in our Round Three Team of the Week by at least one player. But it is the two big winners, Flagstaff Hill and Reynella, who lead the way with six named players each.
The Round Three Captain is a premiership Falcon, Emily Brockhurst, who enjoyed a stellar day out for Flagstaff Hill by kicking five majors. Likewise, Rebecca Denyer finished Reynella's match with seven goals, a feat which earns her this week's vice-captaincy.
Headlining this week's forward line is our Round Three Vice-Captain, Rebecca Denyer, who finished Reynella's big win with seven goals to her name. Alongside her is the versatile Falcon, Jenna Andrews, who not only played well but did so against quality opposition.
Cove's Best on Ground, Alesia Leduff, finds herself at centre half forward after proving to be very dangerous near the goals as she collected five majors.
Port Noarlunga's Bridie Nye and Christies Beach's Angelique Dean add some youth and x-factor to this week's half forward line after both impressed for their respective clubs.
The final spot in this week's attack belongs to Reynella's Best on Ground, Emily Franklin, who added two majors to her goal tally during the Wineflies big Round Three win.
Young Christies Beach tall, Neriah Milis, earns the rucking duties this week after playing well in what was an otherwise tough game for the Saints. Joining her on ball is Cove's Lara Ward, who joins the Round Three side after impressing during their strong win.
Amognst followers is this week's Captain, Emily Brockhurst; the South Adelaide listed Falcon was a standout for Flagstaff Hill as she finished with five goals in what was a Best on Ground performance.
Calling the middle home is the exciting Reynella prospect, Georgia Pennifold, who makes the Team of the Week for the consecutive week.
Flagstaff Hill's Alana Baker holds her spot on the wing after once again impressing, while the opposite wing is home to an exciting Reynella youngster, Ella Besley.
Aldinga's Kiara Lovett holds her spot at full back as the Shark is really settling into her new role in defense. She is joined by fellow Shark, Amber O'Hanlon, after this versatile player also put on a decent display.
Young gun Falcon and South Adelaide Panther, Brooke Kleinig, joins the side once again after backing up last week's performance with another strong outing for Flagstaff Hill.
Continuing with the familiar names from last week, Seraphina Moon also joins the side again after playing well for the Cobras, who bounced back in spectacular fashion on the weekend.
Perhaps showing the nature of their match, Paige Simmons and Brooke O'Brien make up a defensive Saints duo; after both played well despite facing off against a potent Falcons outfit.
Two victorious Reynella players kick start this week's rotations, with Caitlin Williams joining Renee Wurfel; the former of which added another goal to her tally.
Flagstaff Hill's Riley Mitchell and Christies Beach's Casie Coombe, also find themselves amognst the rotations; but dare we say both were unlucky not to be named as starters this week.
The last two spots in our Round Three MWM SFLW Team of the Week belong to Port Noarlunga's Samantha Lynch and Flagstaff Hill's Zoe Walker-Roberts.
